Website Launched and new additions already
March 16, 2010 No CommentsWell, the Athletics Track website officially launched this past Sunday and we’ve got a load of people signed up already to it which is great. Lots of people using pretty much all of the facilities on the website. There were initially some issues with accepting friend requests in Firefox, but they were quickly rectified.
The site now incorporates several new gadgets to help improve the all round service on the site. For example there is now a text editing piece of software attached to the text boxes around the site on things such as blogs, training sessions and training logs, so you can format the text that you are entering, rather than it just being a load of plain text with no formatting. This piece of software is courtesy of a lovely little website called CKEditor which can be found at www.ckeditor.com
Twitter Integration
Your accounts on Athletics Track can also now be linked up with your Twitter accounts. Either when registering or when you’ve signed in, you can edit your Twitter Login details in to your profile. Once you’ve done this, any time that you update your status, post a blog, record a performance, add a training session, or log a training session, your Twitter account will update with a link back to the site and a description of what you’ve just done!
Of course, don’t forget to follow @AthleticsTrack on Twitter for all the latest site updates.
Games
Just a quick bit of fun basically in that I’ve added a handful of Flash games to the site to keep things light hearted and a bit of fun rather than it all just being stats and blogs on the website. If anyone has any suggestions they are more than welcome to send their suggestions through to me at nik.mesney@athletics-track.com
